What sets our Streamwood quotes apart

A half roof quote cannot be permitted here

Streamwood will not issue a roofing permit unless the covering on the entire structure is replaced. The only way out is a lab report from ITEL showing your original shingle is still made and still matches on color. If a rival has quoted you one slope, ask which of those two things they are counting on.

Duplex owners get the letters chased for them

The Village wants both halves of a shared building roofed at the same time. Where only one owner goes ahead, it needs a letter of approval from the other owner before the permit is issued. We handle that conversation and the paperwork that follows it.

We nail, even though staples are legal here

Streamwood still allows staples at four per shingle. Schaumburg and Hanover Park do not. We use nails on every roof, because staples let go sooner in high wind and they are harder to check. This is one of the places a cheap bid hides its savings.

Streamwood roofs we take on

Most of the village went up between the 1960s and the 1980s, and a lot of it shares a wall.

Whole roof tear-offs

The Village makes you do the whole structure, so that is what we price. We strip every slope to the deck, replace what is soft, and set new flashing where the old metal has gone.

Decking and sheathing repairs

Streamwood will not accept OSB on a roof. CDX plywood is the floor, in every case. We carry it, we swap out damaged sheathing as we find it, and we clip the wide spans so the deck sits flat.

Storm reports an adjuster can use

Our inspectors are HAAG certified, the standard qualification for storm damage. You get photographs and a written report, and when an insurer digs in we work alongside Proliance Public Adjusting.

Two visits from the inspector, not one

Streamwood looks at the ice and water shield before the shingles go on, then comes back for the final. The membrane has to reach at least 24 inches inside the exterior wall line, and the first visit exists to measure it. We build the schedule around that stop instead of running past it. Inspections here cannot be booked online, so we ring them in and give the Village the day of notice it asks for. You sign one form, the Illinois Attorney General consumer rights acknowledgement, and we file the rest.

Free roof check

We go over every slope, photograph the damage, and give you a written report at no charge.

02

Price and paperwork

You get a fixed price for the whole roof. You sign the consumer rights form and we pull the permit.

03

Deck and ice shield

We strip to the deck, fix the sheathing, lay the membrane, and hold for the Village to measure it.

04

Shingles and sign-off

The roof goes on, the site gets cleared, and we book the final inspection to close the permit.
