When siding needs replacing
Siding fails in ways that are easy to miss. Look for boards that have warped or pulled away at the seams. Look for soft spots, which mean water has got behind the panel. Chalky, faded colour means the surface has broken down and will not hold paint.
Wind and hail damage often shows as cracks and dents on the side of the house that faced the storm. That side may need replacing while the others do not.
Siding and your roof are one job
Storm damage rarely stops at the roof. Wind that lifts shingles usually drives hail into the siding on the same side of the house. If you claim for one and not the other, you can end up paying for the second repair yourself.
Our inspection covers both. The written report lists roof and siding damage together, which is what your insurer needs to see.
How the job runs
A Production Specialist books your start date and tells you when material arrives. We notify the village and pull the permit where one is needed. A Quality Control Supervisor is on site through the job.
Most siding jobs take a few days. Weather and the size of the house decide the rest.
